For this project, the goal was to create a dramatic entrance that felt like a vintage movie palace but with modern craftsmanship. We worked closely with the client to finalize every detail, ensuring a perfect match for his space’s specific aesthetic.

Material Excellence: From Sample to Sanction

The main body of the door features a distinct, tufted upholstered finish. After reviewing samples, the client selected an elegant Off-White padded vinyl (Code: UP3366-09), a perfect vintage-inspired tone. This creates a soft, sound-dampening surface while adding immense visual depth.
The Rich Mahogany Framework
All wood components, including the 48″ x 80″ double door structure and the matching door jamb, were crafted from premium African Mahogany. To achieve the deep, luxurious tone requested, we provided the client with several stain samples. The final choice was a stunning, dark Jacobean stain, bringing out the wood’s natural grain in a deep, sophisticated color.
Cohesive Matte Brass Elegance
The beauty is truly in the details. To achieve a cohesive, high-end look, all hardware and decorative elements were custom-electroplated in a unified Matte Brass finish.
Coordinated Elements Include:
Film Reel Handles: A truly unique centerpiece for the door, custom-finished in Matte Brass to match.
Kick Plates: Protective and decorative plates at the bottom of each door, electroplated for durability and style.
Window Trim Rings: Even the decorative round trim for the Easy View Windows was finished to match, creating a flawless aesthetic.
The Final Masterpiece
The result is a striking, sound-optimized masterpiece. The rich Jacobean Mahogany frame provides a dark, opulent contrast to the soft, off-white tufted panels. The custom Matte Brass hardware, especially the eye-catching Film Reel handles and the kick plates, add a luxurious sheen. The blue-tinted Easy View Windows provide a classic cinematic glimpse.
