From Approved CAD to Finished Door
- Fabric selection and cutting — Waterproof technical fabric No. 11 was cut and prepared for deep diamond tufting.
- Panel construction — Two tufted faces were built with the circular opening for the porthole; the handle cut-out and kick-plate area were left clean.
- Hardware — A stainless-steel pull was custom plated in matte black to the exact 450 mm × 80 mm specification and mounted on both sides of the door.
- Porthole — Tempered/etched glass with a prominent “K” was set in a black circular frame.
- Frame and assembly — Mahogany stiles and rails in chocolate stain received the upholstered panels, creating a 1-3/4″ thick acoustic door.
- Client photos and shipping — Studio and detail photographs of tufting, handle, window, and full door were sent for approval. Once confirmed, the door was crated and shipped.
The result is a 36″ × 80″ single-swing sound-dampening entrance that reads as both furniture and architecture: plush charcoal fabric, precise button grid, discreet matte-black hardware, and a personalized porthole that hints at the theater beyond.
