2018: The Custom Grizzly Bear & Salmon Entry Door

Our story with Jeremy began back in 2018 when he approached us with a vision for a rugged, nature-inspired entrance for his home. He wanted a statement piece that celebrated wildlife and the raw spirit of the outdoors.

The result was a monumental, deeply relieved hand-carved solid wood slab featuring a Grizzly Bear fishing in a rushing river.

    • The Design: A magnificent grizzly bear stands mid-stream with a freshly caught salmon in its jaws. Below, detailed river stones and swimming trout create a dynamic sense of depth, while overhanging forest boughs frame the top of the scene.

    • The Installation: Jeremy installed this door into a beautiful rustic cabin entryway. Flanked by deep slate-toned horizontal siding, warm overhead lantern sconces, and natural wood trim casing, the door immediately became the crowning jewel of the home’s facade.

For eight years, this handcrafted hardwood door stood tall against the changing seasons, maintaining its structural integrity, smooth operation, and show-stopping visual impact.

2026: The Custom Horned Owl & Scripture Carved Door

Fast forward to 2026. Having experienced the daily joy, durability, and unmatched artisan character of his original bear door, Jeremy reached out to us again. Eight years later, his home—and his design journey—had evolved, and he wanted to commission a second masterpiece.

This time, the artistic theme shifted from the powerful energy of the river to the serene, quiet wisdom of the deep forest.

Custom Horned Owl & Scripture Carved Door

 

    • The Design: The center panel features an ultra-realistic, deeply textured Great Horned Owl perched on a thick pine branch. Every feather is rendered with exquisite detail. In the background, a pristine forest unfolds, complete with a majestic stag deer standing quietly among the trees. The foreground displays heavily textured pine bark that gives the entire door an incredible organic feel.

    • The Personal Touch: To make this piece deeply personal, Jeremy requested a meaningful scripture engraved at the base of the forest floor, flanked by a subtle, elegant cross:“Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” — Esther 4:14

This premium hardwood slab is currently in its raw, beautifully grained wood state, fresh off our artisan workshop floor and ready for its custom finish before traveling to its permanent home.
